The outside was my favorite part. Each morning I looked forward to that lovely Texas scent in the quieter countryside, and to the blue flowers that showed up early then had disappeared by the time I got back from work. So magical, along with the birds, hummingbirds, gray cat, cacti, trees, flowers, and hills. It felt beautiful and healing. Inside, everything was clean, quiet, comfortable, and fun. I loved browsing the maps and art around the house. The bed was comfy, and its adjustable head made watching TV more enjoyable. We also made good use of the full kitchen since my sensitive stomach means I can't eat out as much. It had what we needed, though I couldn't find scissors, so we picked some up at Lowes Market and left them for the next guests. Ricky, thank you for everything, especially the fun snacks. I hope you and your wife liked the Trader Joe's Butterfingers version I left for you. My husband and I would love to come back for a relaxing visit instead of work. I didn't manage to take photos on that last Llano work trip because I was so exhausted and just wanted to enjoy each moment. Next time!

Rick, the owner, welcomed us so warmly. The cabin had everything we needed, and we could watch wildlife just 20 feet away at night and in the early morning, including deer, cardinals, raccoons, hogs, and hummingbirds. We could stay here forever. It's the most amazing place we've ever stayed.

The bathroom was beautifully appointed, the kitchen was well stocked, and the Texas-shaped cookies were a lovely touch. The bedding was high-end, and the adjustable bed was great. My husband is 6'8", and finding enough headroom can be tricky, but the vaulted ceiling gave us plenty of space. The cabin was clearly designed for two and had everything we needed, in a beautiful setting. We highly recommend it and plan to return.

The road is fairly close, which made getting to the cabin and into town easy. We could hear some traffic, but it wasn't loud and didn't interfere with our sleep or the view. We had a really good time. Our host gave us a warm welcome, and the view from the porch was amazing. It got us looking for a hike, and nearby Enchanted Rock was a great choice, though you need to reserve an entry time. We also enjoyed exploring Llano, with its restaurants, fresh pastries, coffee shop, and art shop, among other things. I'd absolutely recommend staying here and visiting this beautiful area.

The wildlife just 10 feet from the deck made the sunset over the Texas Hill Country even more beautiful. We spent our first anniversary here, and Rick gave us a lovely bottle of wine from a local winery. The cabin is beautifully decorated. We'll definitely come back to enjoy this little slice of Texas paradise.
