Road Creek Inn

A last-minute find that worked out perfectly. We needed two rooms, each with two queen beds, and both were under $100. They were spacious and very comfortable, with plenty of room and extra towels. The owners responded quickly when we had trouble getting through the key-coded front door. We loved the amenities and all the space to spend time together.

The room was clean, though the tub needed a good scrub, and better vacuuming after cleaning might catch the stray hairs. The windows could use some mildew removal too. Getting around is all by digital lock, so be sure to have your reservation numbers from the email. The shared kitchen was handy since we bring our own food, and the dollar store and grocery store are across the street. There are a couple of common rooms, though we didn’t use them. WiFi was a nice touch. Gas is available at two stations, and their prices were similar to others in the park region. For the three of us, $352 for three nights wasn’t too bad, though it’s a 20-minute drive to Torrey and places beyond. It was worth it, and we’d recommend it to travelers.

We had an issue with the original key code, but someone answered the phone promptly and gave us a new one that worked. The rooms were clean and spacious, and having a kitchen for a quick dinner and an entertainment room to watch a football game made this a perfect stop at Capitol Reef. It was 100% worth the slightly longer drive from the park.

The rooms are a good size, and the location is great. It was quiet, and self check-in was easy. Best of all, there’s a full shared kitchen where you can cook whatever you want, so no need to settle for microwaved food.
