The Summer Kitchen was clean and really comfortable for our two-night couples getaway, and we liked the breakfasts even though we missed dinner. The grounds and buildings could use work, and at first we were a little disappointed that the place didn’t look like the website photos. But the view was gorgeous, the staff were great, and there’s a pleasant trail along the river. The place has plenty of character. They’re about to begin renovations, and I’d love to come back when the trees are green and flowers are blooming, and go fishing.

I hadn’t visited in about four years, and it was very nice to be back. We had dinner last night, met the new owners, and really enjoyed the meal. Changes are already underway, and I’m even more excited about what’s coming. I’ve joined the mailing list so I can be among the first to try the new wellness and spa services. It’s no longer a Meander Inn, it’s a Destination Inn. Thanks!

If you enjoy history, mountain sunsets, and good company, this is a lovely place for a charming getaway. The new owners are friendly and outgoing, and the food was amazing. We had both breakfast and dinner, and everything was delicious with incredible service. We’ll definitely return.

The Inn at Meander was exactly the kind of distinctive place we wanted, since the other local choices were mostly generic chain hotels. Our one-night stay was full of charm and history, and the room was beautiful and cozy, especially with its wood-burning fireplace. The staff were excellent, and breakfast onsite was very good. The bathroom could use a little updating, but that didn’t spoil the visit. We’ve already made plans to come back soon and have been telling everyone we know about this memorable, more affordable option.

The manager was great and the food was amazing, but the website photos didn’t match what we found. The place looked run down and sad, though it has lots of potential. The water in our room wasn’t working during our stay, so they gave us bottled water. I hope they can turn things around.
