Breakfast was great, with lots of choices. The ice machine worked, and there’s a good bakery, grocery store, 7/11, liquor store, coffee shop, and restaurants down the street. Staff were all friendly, and the price was good. The room was clean enough, with clean sheets and no bedbugs, but it smelled strongly of scented cleaner. I brought a fan and set it in the doorway to pull in fresh air. We didn’t want to leave the door open because people were hanging around and smoking outside their rooms. The bathroom needs work: its ceiling is lower than the rest of the room, the showerhead is unusually low, there are water spots overhead, and the grout and caulk need a good scrub. Some of the carpet was sticky, so wear slippers or sandals. The lobby is very dated, which gave me an idea of the rooms. I kept thinking it would be a nice cabin if it were in the woods.

The staff were friendly, but the quality was below what I was looking for. I got one of the last rooms in the complex, which I hadn’t expected, though it was okay. Our room wasn’t cleaned by staff after the second or third day, which was irritating, but we managed. It’s fine for a short two-day visit, but I wouldn’t choose it for a four- or five-day vacation.

The location suited us since we live in town and wanted a night away from the house and kids, while staying close in case we had an emergency with one of our small children. Staff were very nice and got us checked in and out quickly, and we had no trouble with other guests. The King Deluxe Suite was fine, and the jetted tub was as expected. But the bed was a problem. The pillows were lumpy and awful, and there was no real blanket, just sheets and a very thin cover. A thin spare blanket in a bag didn’t help much. I was cold the whole time and ended up doubling all the coverings and sleeping in my hoodie. The heater blew into the curtains, which blocked the airflow, and it clicked constantly. Opening the curtains wasn’t a practical fix because we were on the ground floor and the window faced right toward the bed. Breakfast was typical continental fare, but the eggs were rubbery and the orange juice tasted sour. Waffles, oatmeal, and toast were available, so it wasn’t all bad. The indoor pool would have meant walking through the parking lot in 30-40 degree weather, so we skipped it. I can’t comment on the pool itself. I didn’t take photos. I’d return if budget mattered because it was inexpensive and met some expectations. If I could spend more, I’d pay extra for a better night’s sleep.

Our company has booked this hotel for Logan work for more than 10 years, usually paying for 8 to 20 rooms year-round. Employees put their cards on file for incidentals, and the hotel had never charged them before or had any incident. Recently it began taking $100 per room without notice or explanation. Employees are out that money for the week and don’t get it back until the middle of the following week, by which time another $100 has been charged. I explained to the manager that we could have planned internally if we’d known, but was basically told tough luck. We’re taking our business elsewhere and suggest others do the same. Vegas rooms only charge a $50 incidental upfront, and this place is a dump compared with them.
