I emailed IHG guest relations about what happened on January 8, 2026, and more than a month later I still haven’t heard back, so I’m posting here. We stayed four nights, December 24 to December 28, 2025, with two adults. Carla and Nigel at the front desk were polite, apologetic, and helpful as far as they could be. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast improved a little on the third day when fresh bananas were available. Those were the positives. Our room wasn’t cleaned the first two nights. We were told housekeeping had gone home early and it would be handled the next day, but it wasn’t. On the third day it was cleaned, though dirty towels were left on the floor and the ironing board was still standing. Another time the room wasn’t cleaned, we asked for towels and were told only thin pool towels were available, not regular bath towels. The laundry area was extremely dirty, with visible dirt, crust, and lint buildup. It was the filthiest hotel laundry room we’ve seen. The WiFi kept dropping and needed repeated disconnects and reconnects to get usable speeds. Mobile reception in the area was weak too, so connectivity was limited. At check-in we were put on the second floor and told we could move to the fourth floor the next night for more quiet. We were warned the doors were loud, and they were. They seem to lack soft-close mechanisms or proper acoustic seals, so they slam. In the mornings, banging doors and children running and yelling in the hallways repeatedly woke us. When we checked about the promised transfer, we were told no rooms were available after all, so we had to stay where we were. The breakfast fruit wasn’t fresh either. The apples had tough skin and dry, spongy flesh, while the oranges were shriveled and nearly dried out inside.

The staff were friendly and courteous, and Jennifer was a treasure, so kind and supportive. The continental breakfast was a nice surprise: I’d thought it meant pastries and coffee, but everything was fresh and delicious. I especially liked the coffee machine that lets you choose a coffee, then grinds and brews a fresh cup. I don’t usually drink coffee, but I did the whole stay 😁 I booked the hotel on Redlands Blvd because it was super close to Loma Linda medical center. My husband is in the ICU, and I ended up staying 4 days because leaving him to go home was hard. The room was huge and comfortable, though the bed was kinda uncomfortable. I managed because I slept when I wasn’t visiting him, and the visits took a lot outta me. I’ll be back soon. My husband is still in the ICU, but he’s finally woken up ♥️🥰
There’s plenty of free parking, and the surrounding area isn’t top tier but felt safe. The hotel sits in a complex with several other good hotels nearby. It has laundry, a gym, a clean pool, good WiFi, and free coffee and tea in the lobby 24/7. Breakfast is complimentary and decent, served in a clean, well maintained area. The hotel and rooms were very clean, and the staff were polite.
The hot water could have been hotter, but it was manageable. I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn in Loma Linda: it was clean, the room was comfortable and easy to relax in, and the staff and general atmosphere were nice. I’d consider staying again.
Jennifer made my stay feel welcoming and memorable from the start. I checked into Holiday Inn Express Loma Linda San Bernardino a little after 8pm on December 31st, 2025, and she greeted me so warmly and sincerely that talking with her felt like catching up with an old friend. The next morning she was helping the breakfast team, and her upbeat energy was impossible to miss. Another guest even remarked on how amazing she was and asked where she got that energy. She brought so much joy to the breakfast area. When I decided to extend my stay, she made it quick and seamless. She also handled my late checkout request with the same kindness, efficiency, and grace as before. Her genuine care, professionalism, and consistency went beyond what I expected. Jennifer is an absolute gem and a huge asset to the hotel. I’ll definitely return and hope she’s there to greet me again. -John Eugenio
