Lotus of Lompoc - A Great Hospitality Inn

We’ve stayed here for months at a time more than once, and whenever we’re in California we always come back. The rooms are consistently very clean and the prices are great. The manager is wonderful and goes out of his way to help. I can’t remember his name, but he always brings our mail right to the door as soon as it arrives. We bring our service dog, and I walk him around a lot. I’ve never felt unsafe there. Thanks for a great stay, we love this place!

I asked several people on duty about getting one of the newer refurbished rooms, since two room types were advertised online and I trust newer rooms to have better hygiene. They told me one was available, but at check-in I got the opposite of what I’d requested. The communication was bad, and their answers felt unreliable and changeable. Don’t assume the nicer photos online show the room you’ll actually get.

We left after five minutes and didn’t stay either of our booked nights. The room was tiny, dirty, outdated, and nothing like the website pictures. They refunded only one night. This place was completely unacceptable, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Save your money and book somewhere else.

It’s a roadside motel that will give you a bed and a hot shower, and it was one of the lowest-priced places around. The shower was clean, but small and awkwardly tucked into the bathroom corner. The old coil-spring mattress wasn’t comfortable, and the AC took a long time to cool the room. After showering, I had to leave the room. A mariachi party at the neighboring property was extremely loud all night and into the early morning.
