Shakti Cove Cottages

It's quiet and peaceful here, and getting to the beach is easy. I love the casual feel. The cottages take me back to summers at my family's beach cabin when I was growing up, and they welcomed my big dog too. Having a well stocked kitchen is especially helpful in the off season, when I'd otherwise have to drive somewhere to get a meal.

My wife and I really needed this little break from our busy lives, and we loved it. The cabins are basic, clean, comfortable, and quiet, with an incredible beach just a short walk away. The owners are great and quick to help when you need anything. The other guests were considerate and respectful, and I love how dog friendly the place is. We never go anywhere without our dogs. I hope there's an opening when I look soon, because I can't wait to return.

We cooked Easter dinner for six in the cottage kitchen, which worked perfectly. The cottages are nearly a hundred years old, but they're well cared for and comfortable. We had a relaxing stay, and the friendly, helpful staff added to it. There was even an occupied Bald Eagles nest in a nearby tree, a great bonus. The beach, store, coffee, and more are all within walking distance. Every cottage welcomes dogs, not just the "Dog Cottage". We're hoping to book the whole resort next year for a family reunion.

We got some good rest in the Surf cottage, which had everything we needed, and the beach access was awesome. The property is beautifully kept, the staff were friendly, and the Discovery Trail was great. It was our first time experiencing cottage life, and I'd definitely recommend it for a getaway.
