The room was very clean, with clean sheets and towels, plenty of toiletries, and housekeeping brought fresh towels in the morning. The room was on the small side and the curtains didn't quite close, but neither was a problem for us. I was startled at first by all the things in the lobby, which made it look like construction was happening. It was just an eyesore and didn't affect the stay. The place had a welcoming smell, and the front desk was helpful. Our door wouldn't open, but Manager Sam Patel sorted it out. Later the WiFi went out overnight, and the front desk was quick, nice, and apologetic when we asked for help. It's also close to several places to eat and gas stations. This was my best experience at a Quality Inn, and I'd stay again.

The breakfast was tasty, and checking out was quick and easy. My father and I had a great stay at this brand-new hotel. It was very clean, and the staff were friendly. The price was very affordable for what you get. I'd recommend this Quality Inn if you're passing through Longview like we were, or need somewhere for an extended stay.

The outdoor pool is why I make this my regular summer stop as a local. For a motel, things are usually decent, and it's normally peaceful compared with others on this side of town. It's a decent place to sleep at a fair price, without riff raff. My one recurring complaint is the older white lady at breakfast. She hovers over people and is right behind you as soon as you do something. It makes me feel like I'm in a prison food line or at work. Someone needs to address that. Everything else is fine.

I'm not sure why this place gets so many good reviews. It was run down when I stayed last week, and the whole place smelled strongly of weed. The room perfumes were so overpowering I could smell them in the parking lot, and once inside it was clear they were being used to cover the smell. There were also lots of dead bugs that looked like they hadn't been cleaned up for months, maybe longer. It wasn't worth the money. I'd skip this location unless that smell and that kind of crowd are what you're looking for.

My boyfriend booked a room for me and my three children at a certain price, but there was confusion about the booking. The next morning I went to the front desk for toiletries, and the manager came at me yelling that the price was wrong. I calmly explained that I hadn't known, since everything was booked before I arrived. He kept demanding to know how we would fix it. I said my boyfriend would talk with him after work about any extra charges. I hadn't known they'd already spoken the night before, and I assume the manager was unhappy with that conversation and took it out on me. He said the extra fee was only $40 and confirmed that was the only additional charge. I let him charge my card, then found out he'd also charged my boyfriend another $40. A lot more happened, and I'll never return. The manager was unprofessional, and I heard him speak to the cleaning staff the same way he spoke to me. He also complained that three children meant more people eating breakfast, even though breakfast was supposed to be complimentary. Each child had one breakfast sandwich and was still hungry, so I took them to McDonald's to make sure other guests could eat. Sam Patel, you need to speak professionally to guests and staff. From what I saw, he mainly disrespected women. I'll contact corporate about the kind of person representing the company. UPDATE: Police got involved after my boyfriend tried to show Sam Patel pending charges on his bank account, posted for today, and Sam tried to slap the phone out of his hands. Police were called by both sides. We were told the first pending charges would drop off after checkout. I checked out Monday morning at 6am, so why are there new pending charges for today? Tell the truth, Sam Patel. He claimed we didn't want to pay, which isn't true. We had no problem paying for our stay. I wanted a comfortable weekend with my children, but we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. I should've left when Sam Patel yelled at me. Instead of acknowledging and apologizing for his behavior, he keeps lying and blaming us. Who knows how many guests he's treated this way, but he won't get away with it this time.
