Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Lonoke I-40 (Exit 175)

I’m checking out today and will be back in a week while traveling back to Texas. It’s one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in: clean place, outstanding staff, and an awesome breakfast. I’d encourage you to check it out.

The breakfast was the best I think I’ve had at a hotel, and I’ve traveled a lot. Hats off to the kitchen staff. The room was easy to get to, clean, and comfortable for our night on the road. One thing to fix: my granddaughters’ feet got really dirty from the carpet. It could use a regular cleaning, or be replaced with flooring that can be mopped each time. The next hotel had tile, and their feet stayed clean.

The breakfast was wonderful, and Patty, the manager, was very helpful about accommodating our cat. Suzanne at the front desk was a huge help too. I didn’t catch the name of the young woman who told us about a Mexican restaurant, but it was two thumbs up. I wish every Holiday Inn we stayed at treated us like this crew did. The beds were great and everything else was very nice, but I’d be cautious about eating breakfast. I got sick right after eating and returning to the room. I couldn’t tell whether it was food poisoning or something related to my medication, so I called an on-call nurse. She said the quick onset made food poisoning more likely. When I raised it with the manager, she said she wouldn’t refund the extra stay caused by being sick because I hadn’t seen a doctor. Eat at your own risk. I did love the beds.
