Homewood Suites by Hilton Cypress Orange County

Kevin Do, the hotel manager, and the rest of the welcoming staff really stood out. Kevin was friendly and his support and positive presence made our stay better. Homewood Suites felt modern, clean, and welcoming, and the location was convenient and felt safe, very close to Disneyland. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I booked online on 05/24 for my wife, our two children, and me, then called at 2pm that same day to confirm and ask about early check-in. I was told they'd received the reservation, but the room wasn't available and we couldn't check in until 4pm. When we arrived, they'd canceled it without notifying me. Reception blamed Expedia, while Expedia said the booking was still active and hadn't been canceled. Reception also said they were overbooked and had to turn away three other customers with reservations. After I walked away, I got an email from Reception saying my reservation was canceled. My family was left displaced without anywhere to go.

The rooms were clean and had lots of space, and the full kitchen was great for our week-long stay. The one drawback is that it's a bit far from Disneyland.

The floors were noticeably dirty, even though the room looked clean at first. At night we could clearly hear conversations and loud snoring from the neighboring room, which made sleeping difficult. My son developed bites on his neck and body during our stay, which concerned me. The hotel is in an excellent location and seems well maintained overall. From what I understand, it's fairly new. Still, after these problems I'd hesitate to stay again.
