Best Western Plus Carriage Inn

The shower had a strong, hot flow, the beds were clean, and the AC worked well. Housekeeping did a good job, and security was patrolling all the time. We slept well and checkout was easy. The location is decent, though the hotel shares part of its parking with Dennys, so cars are coming and going regularly. That could be a plus too. Parking fees seem fair given the security on watch. The downside was all the taxes and what felt like silly charges added at the end. I think I'd stay again.

At the pool, people were drinking alcohol and sitting in the water for hours. I've also seen dogs swimming there several times. When I asked staff to remove the dogs or at least clean the pool afterward, they said I would no longer be allowed to book there. I was then blocked by this hotel on Booking.com. I've had a paid Booking.com account and booked hotels around the world for over 20 years. This is the first and only time something like this has happened to me, and it was with this dirty hotel. There are much better and safer options, with cleaner places in better neighborhoods for less money. Don't stay here. The hotel is right beside a busy highway, so it's constantly noisy. It's also extremely dirty. I left my car clean overnight, and by morning it was covered in a thick layer of dust. The rooms are always dirty, with old, stained carpets full of hair and dust, and terrible housekeeping. Staff are unpleasant and unfriendly. Homeless people are often around the property, which makes the area feel unsafe.

Traffic noise died down a lot later, and I was able to sleep. I arrived a bit late after traveling and was greeted by two very friendly clerks. Check-in was easy, the room was clean, and everything worked without trouble. I enjoyed the night and would come back.

The staff are nice, and the hot tub was very clean. I love staying here, though the hours for the hot tub aren't great. It could open earlier, especially with checkout at 12:00, since there's no time to shower afterward without rushing. Laundry costs $4.00 to wash and $4.00 to dry with a card, but there's a reasonably priced laundromat just a few blocks away.
