Budget Inn

My friend is staying there through their homeless assistance program. He’s supposed to get his apartment within the next six months.

There’s lots of open space in the rooms, which are roomy, while the bathrooms are kind of small. The rooms are actually not bad, and they no longer have carpet. I was worried because of the bad reviews. They took a deposit but wouldn’t give me a receipt, which seemed shady. There are guards in the parking lot.

The carpet was covered in stains, and the room didn’t look like it had been cleaned. Honestly, the wooden pallet room I built myself is much cleaner than this place. I’d give it no stars if I could.

The worst stay I’ve ever had. Someone came into our room in the middle of the night with a key that worked, even though they’d been given the wrong room number. They apologized and probably meant no harm, but it was frightening. The walls looked like something had been splattered over them, and the carpet was so filthy I worried about my family walking on it. The room was dirty and had no towels. We were traveling with two small children, and my wife was pregnant. When we asked for a couple of towels, we were told the laundry was closed. I explained that we’d paid good money, and after about ten minutes they gave us two towels that weren’t very clean. I was promised more in the morning, but none arrived, and the room wasn’t cleaned either. I also asked for an extra pillow for my pregnant wife and didn’t get one. The shower head leaked everywhere after what looked like a bad repair with electrical tape, and we had nothing to put on the floor. There were dead bugs all over the bathroom light fixture, like a horror movie. Staff were rude and service was very poor. I could keep going, but I’d rather stop thinking about this place.
