Hotel Mariposa Los Angeles

I was in town for work in October 2025 and had a great stay at Mariposa. It's a modern, clean hotel that feels safe, with spacious, quiet, well-kept rooms and very comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is handy for studios, restaurants, and LA, while still being away from the middle of the chaos. I'd happily return. It's a solid boutique option in the Valley if you want somewhere comfortable, updated, and low-key.

The staff were welcoming, and the clean, modern room and well-kept building made for a pleasant stay. I also liked the outdoor patio near the lobby. A couple of practical things to know: the TV couldn't be seen from the desk, so a movable bracket would help, and the tub and shower had a higher-than-usual step up. Drinks were reasonably priced, but snack choices were very limited. You could buy breakfast items, though there was no lunch or dinner on site. It would also help to have a dedicated loading area out front. If you're going to Universal Studios by public transport, buses are infrequent, so check the schedule ahead of time.

We chose this dog-friendly hotel to be near family for the holidays, and it delivered. It's clean and spacious, with thoughtful, colorful details tied to the monarch butterfly theme. We especially enjoyed the free coffee in the lobby all day and night, the gym, and the jacuzzi. The staff were friendly and responsive. Street parking was safe for us and free, and we didn't get a ticket even when we stayed longer than the posted restriction. The one drawback was hearing the people above us too easily. They woke us up at night sometimes, but not enough to keep us from coming back.

We spent the last five nights of our honeymoon here and had a wonderful time. The room was modern and very clean, a welcome change after a dirty hotel for the first two days. Everyone at the front desk was helpful and welcoming, and they even arranged surprise flowers for our arrival. Hotel Mariposa is right by the highway, which made Uber and Lyft rides more efficient, and we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood to its restaurants and shops. Thanks to the staff for making our LA trip so memorable.
