Las Palmas Suites

We stayed here with my family over Pride weekend and had a great time. The front desk was helpful and made sure we were comfortable. It felt central, and I could walk to most things around the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Our suite had one single bed and two double beds. There's no AC, which they made clear from the start, but the fans and windows kept the room cool. The recent update was a plus. I'd stay here again!

I've stayed here for more than five months altogether. It's a decent hotel if you're not too picky, and I haven't found management rude like some people say. Usually it's the guests who are rude and demanding. A few things need work: the hallways are often dirty, the floor is hard to keep clean, and the cleaning crew is hardly ever around. The room seems to fall apart easily, the air doesn't circulate well with the door shut, and the fridge is too small. You also have to plug the bathtub drain yourself if you want to take a bath.

I'm appalled that I have to write this, but people should know what happened to my dear friend, who stayed at this hotel for a weekend concert trip. Their room smelled awful, and the bed they slept in was covered with lice. The front desk staff seemed unmoved and wouldn't accept responsibility. The manager was told about it, but reportedly avoided responsibility by saying the sheets didn't belong to the hotel, and refused to refund my friend. I can't believe a place with a positive four-star Google rating could treat someone so disrespectfully or be so dirty. I'm deeply unhappy with the service and won't ever stay here. I'll take my money elsewhere.

It's an older motel, but it's clean, quiet, and the management and staff are really nice and helpful. The secured parking lot is a big plus, and you can walk to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, souvenir shops, Starbucks, and other places to eat. I liked being able to get around on foot and would recommend it. I'd stay again, too. One fun detail, the last scene of Pretty woman was filmed upstairs here.
