Le Petit Pali Brentwood West Los Angeles

Every room had such a lovely smell, and the place itself was charming and spotless. The bathroom was nice too. The standard king felt a little small, though. Next time we’ll book one with a patio.

The breakfast arrived in a picnic basket with a thermos, and everything in it was high quality. The room was cute, comfortable, and perfectly clean. Petit Pali Brentwood has so many thoughtful style details, with Diptique scents around the grounds and Diptique toiletries too. It even has a slightly Wes Anderson movie feel, thanks to all the whimsical touches. We had a wonderful stay.

The rooms look cute, but there’s barely room to use them. In the terrace ‘King’ they moved us to, the bed took up nearly the whole space. We couldn’t open our suitcases, and the bathroom had nowhere for our toiletry bags except the floor. It was the smallest room I’ve stayed in in LA. I’ve stayed at several Pali hotels, and this was easily the worst. When we arrived, we were told room service had just brought an electric heater because the AC and heat weren’t working. It was a really cold night in January, and I wouldn’t have booked without working heat, so I asked for an upgrade. The price was also higher than palihouse West Hollywood, which is MUCH better and has huge rooms. I’d stay there instead.

The free parking was a real help, since nearly no LA hotels seemed to offer it in my research. The room was small but lovely, with a very comfortable bed, nice details, and good shower amenities. The breakfast basket was nice too, though the pastry could’ve been better. Juice would be a welcome option for people who don’t drink coffee or tea.
