Magic Castle Hotel

We barely wanted to leave after spending a week at the Magic Castle Hotel. The place felt magical, cozy, and homey, and it was quiet at night so we could rest after busy days. Its central location worked well for us, with Universal Studios, grocery stores, In-N-Out, restaurants, and more nearby. We also used the on-site laundry, which was convenient. The pool became a family favorite. We swam almost every day, and the water was never too cold. Our son was also thrilled by the daily breakfast, unlimited ice cream cones, and snacks like Doritos. Alfonso the magician was a highlight for all of us. He was talented, kind, and engaging, and his tricks amazed the family. Our son loved Alonso so much that we made sure to see him again on our last day. Kevin, the Front Desk Manager, made a wonderful first impression when we arrived. My wife said it was the best welcome she’d ever had, and I agree. He was warm and attentive throughout our stay, and made a point of connecting with our son whenever we saw him. All the extra touches made the stay memorable, and we can’t wait to come back.

As a family on a budget, we couldn’t afford the Hilton, Hyatt, and places like that, but here we felt just as valued as guests at a fancy hotel, maybe even more so. The welcome at reception with drinks was top-notch, and every promised amenity was there and working. I’m excited we found this place, though I worry that a gem like this might get too much attention. Thanks to the staff for all you do. I hope this place stays out of private equity’s hands.

We booked the Magic Castle Hotel because we were going to the Magic Castle that night and didn’t want to drive home. The driveway entrance was confusing, and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but after that the stay was amazing. The front desk welcome was incredible. The friendly staff greeted us with sparkling wine, walked us through the property, and showed us where everything was. Our first room was too close to the pool and ice machine, so we asked to move. Even though the hotel was almost sold out, they accommodated us and carried our luggage to the new room. It was spacious and very clean, with a full kitchen and refrigerator. We only stayed one night and didn’t get to use the inviting pool, but the midnight soft-serve ice cream was priceless. We’re looking forward to bringing our little girl next time so she can enjoy the pool, ice cream, and on-demand popsicles from the “popsicle hotline.” It’s a great, fun stay for couples or families in the heart of the Hollywood tourist area.

The staff really delivered on the customer-focused experience, and the extra perks were great: a heated pool open 24/7, complimentary snacks, treats, ice cream and soda, poolside emergency popsicles, plus a Hogwarts letter and sparkling cider for my nephew’s 11th birthday. The building is definitely older, but they’ve clearly made an effort to freshen it up with new appliances, mini-split HVAC, fresh paint, and updated furniture. It may not be one of the flashy new places, but it’s wonderful. Well done, guys!
