Park Motel

They have poor, unsatisfying maintenance and housekeeping. There's a dead mouse in the back of my room's refrigerator, and the sink water won't drain. They also ignore phone calls on purpose and let the phone ring continuously until it reaches voicemail.

A cute vintage-looking property, with a nice color scheme in the rooms. I was a little nervous after reading the bad reviews, but the tap water was clear, the room was clean, and the area felt safe. Definitely a great option if you're traveling on a budget.

We had a wonderful time, and the owner checked on us several times to make sure we were okay. The owners were incredibly helpful and kind. The building's shape helped us feel fortified and safe, and the parking was very easy to access. Inside, everything was clean and open, and the rooms smelled like incense. We'd been denied an air bnb the night before anime expo, so we found this place at the last second and booked right away. After reading some pretty fake reviews, we were cautious and came prepared. Once we arrived, though, we realized it was going to be a lot better than we expected. Sure, it's a motel, but we had a great time because of what it was. Bring your own shampoo and towels if you prefer a larger towel than the one they supply. The shampoo came in a sample-sized packet.

One of the nicer motels in this rugged area.
