Patio Motel

The room was fairly clean, and the bedding was clean too, though of course neither was perfect. It was mostly quiet, with just a little music from outside, maybe from a bar or something. It's decent for the price if you're on a budget or short on money. It's obviously not the Hilton, but it's not bad for what you pay.

The service was accommodating. When management asked, I was assigned a smoking room, and the manager was easy to approach and available whenever needed. I didn't see any insects, and access to the 710 is immediate. For what the Patio Motel advertises, my stay was above average. I'm sure the room had been 'cleaned' by management's or society's standards, but it still felt like someone had been using it. The cigarette burns on the bedspread gave it that impression.

Update: I booked through a third party, but the hotel didn't honor the hours that had been confirmed for my stay. I went out and came back with my same key card to find my belongings gone because they'd rented the room to someone else. They didn't bother returning my things and even tried to charge me more. The man humiliated me in front of the person he'd sold the room to. Horrible. Before that, I'd thought the place was great: remodeled, clean, with friendly staff and a microwave and fridge in the room.

For the price, it's probably what you'd expect. The rate was quite cheap compared with other places, but I regret not choosing Motel 6. We stayed four nights, and the staff were pretty friendly. The first few days were okay. On the last morning, a woman knocked and yelled at our door at 5 a.m., and nobody stopped her. We couldn't sleep well after that. They also hadn't told us ahead of time that the parking lot would be under renovation, so we had to get up early and move our car.
