Satellite Motel

The room itself was clean and comfortable, and I was grateful to get four hours of sleep between connecting flights. I’d booked ahead through Agoda, but getting checked in was a hassle. The woman at the desk hung up on me twice when I called from the airport, then said I had no reservation when I arrived. She was rude and patronizing and asked for another $40 in cash. I didn’t have any, so she eventually let me stay for the night. The neighborhood was so-so. This should have been easier.

Once inside, the smell in the room was so strong that I went out to buy air freshener and Lysol wipes. We also found more gross stains, so after about 20 minutes we asked for our money back. That turned into a big argument, and the woman claimed we’d been there for two hours. We asked for a refund or another room. The cleaning lady came out and said 103 was the worst room, then later told us 104 was the best because she never rents it out. After another 20 minutes of arguing, we were moved to 104. The office lady had already yelled at me when I arrived for my online booking and asked what I wanted at the window. Management was absolutely rude and doesn’t know how to talk to people. All those reviews calling the place terrible and disgusting are true. Zero stars!

I woke up the next day itching all over, like something had bitten me. The rooms smelled awful, and although I kept asking for a nonsmoking room, they said they only had smoking rooms, even though the place seemed empty. The A/C and heater looked like they could catch fire if turned on, as if someone had smoked and put ashes inside. The front desk had no customer service skills. I’m surprised it’s still open. Someone should inspect it before a guest gets seriously sick. I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody.

The room was filthy and badly needed a makeover. There were dead roaches on the walls and headboards, and the walls looked like they hadn’t been wiped in years. The shower curtain was dirty too. At $90, it wasn’t worth even a dollar. I’ll never stay there again.
