The rooms are spacious and clean, with a decent view, and the air conditioning worked great. Water pressure was a little low, but not enough to complain about, and I had no noise issues. There are a few places to eat nearby, though not many. I didn’t have a good short experience at the sushi restaurant in the hotel. Finding the amenities was frustrating. The lobby was busy at check-in, and nobody explained where things were. There are no signs for the fitness center or pool. When I asked the worker at the empty lobby sushi bar where the fitness center was, they rudely said, “this is a sushi restaurant….” The host then told me it was on the third floor. I was happy to find it: it’s large, has several areas for privacy, and I had it to myself. I saw there was a pool but couldn’t find it, and didn’t want to return to the busy lobby to ask. The room has a large but outdated TV, with no Netflix or casting, which is a downside for a longer stay. There’s a mini fridge but no freezer space, and no microwave. The Nespresso machine and a few pods were a nice touch. If you need a clean place near the airport for a layover, it’s a good option. It’s less walkable than downtown LA, but not in the middle of nowhere.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and recently renovated, and the location works well if you’re staying on the West side of LA. Other parts of the city can be a bit far. But keep an eye on the added costs: there’s a $29 daily “destination fee,” $10 a day for Wi-Fi, and $30 daily for the on-site garage with no in-and-out privileges. For a hotel that isn’t even high-end, a $200-per-night security deposit is a lot too. The lower price might look appealing, but all those fees put me off. I wouldn’t stay here again.

It has a fresh, modern feel, and several restaurants are an easy walk away, which made meals convenient without driving. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained, and the contemporary decor made the stay more enjoyable. A great mix of convenience, cleanliness, and updated style.

We needed somewhere to rest during the day before an overnight flight, and after a nightmare stay next door at the Residence Inn, the Sonesta felt like a revelation. The king bed was plush, the pillows heavenly, and the shower great. They also had complimentary water, and the pizza from the Taproom in the lobby was delicious. Staff were genuinely warm at both check-in and check-out, and the airport shuttle was convenient. Everything a hotel should be. Highly recommended!
