Travelodge by Wyndham Chatsworth

The staff were friendly, and check-in and checkout were easy. The room was comfortable and mostly quiet, though a nearby active train track meant some noise when trains passed. One thing we didn't like was the motion-timed lights, which switched off automatically, including in the middle of a shower. In our double-queen room there was just one outlet near the bed, and it wasn't by the bedside table, so my phone had to sit on the floor. We overslept and missed breakfast because the phone alarm wasn't audible from there, so I can't comment on the food.

Janed at the front desk was a big help. We were worried about parking our 26' bobtail, and she came up with a solution that made us feel safe. Our third-floor key didn't work at first, so she quickly found us a room on the first floor, which we appreciated. She also pointed us to some good local restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are clean and up to date; the bathrooms could be a little cleaner, but we were very satisfied with our stay.

The rooms were clean and breakfast was good, but the property had gone downhill since our last visit to see family nearby. We first chose it partly because of the pool, and this time the health department had closed part of it. One of our phone chargers also went missing from the room. When we told the desk, they said they'd check the cleaners' cart. The charger was returned the next day, with the explanation that it had been on that cart. It left me suspecting that other things might go missing from guest rooms and end up there too. We'll stay somewhere else next time.

There's a grocery store within walking distance, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well maintained, with plenty of parking and a nice pool. The elevator still needs its remodeling project finished. All in all, a good experience. Highly recommend.
