Blankenbaker Inn by IHG

There was food left in the elevator for all three days we were there, and mud sat in the hallway just as long. No laundry machines, holes in the walls, broken USB outlets, and not a single regular coffee option during our stay, just decaf. The place smelled bad, with scent beads put in the AC. The toilet squealed loudly when flushed, the showerhead was disgusting, and there was piss on the walls. There wasn’t even a battery in the smoke alarm. I wouldn’t come back even if it were free.

I stayed five days and had to move rooms twice because of dirty rooms and black mold on the walls. The mold was obvious, and it may have been in the ventilation system too. Even the showerheads looked like they had fungus growing out of them and badly needed replacing. They know about it and don’t care. Management was terrible. I dealt with Spencer, who wouldn’t even look at me while talking. This place is a dump. I’m surprised IHG lets it carry their brand. I’ll never stay again.

There was a strange smell when I walked in. The property feels dated, the carpet needs cleaning, the walls need paint, and some small repairs are needed. The bed pillows were small. Coffee was available in the lobby, but not in the room.

This IHG hotel was the worst place I’ve stayed in years. Several room lights didn’t work, there was mold on the ceiling, and the free breakfast was terrible. You’re better off eating somewhere else.
