It was so quiet the whole weekend, and I felt completely safe as a solo female traveler. No rowdy kids or adults partying. The price and location are great, and I've found a new place to stay. Great job, Ladies!! The room was small, with one bed, but the little kitchenette was handy. There was only the bare minimum of silverware and cookware, so bring what you need if you plan to make full meals. Everything was meticulously clean, right down to the baseboards and window sills. The sheets were clean, and the towels were fluffy and pure white. The pillows were flat, which is pretty standard, so I brought my own from home. The window AC unit got loud when the compressor kicked on, but it didn't disturb me or keep me up. The parking lot was small, but people parked considerately, so getting in and out wasn't an issue.

The place is close to the beach, but everything else about it was terrible. I don't understand how it has so many good reviews. We got no sleep because the old window AC units were so loud. The beds were uncomfortable and worn out, and the pillows were flat. The tub wouldn't drain, some bathroom bulbs were out, and there was long hair on the towels. The whole place needs renovating. I don't recommend it at all.

We only liked that it was close to the beach. There were roaches in our room, and they wouldn't move us, though they did give us a small refund. Then they charged $100 for a lost key. Parking was a major hassle, and security harassed my family when they stopped by to pick up my daughter. The five star reviews seem like a joke, maybe they're from friends. I can't imagine a tenant in their right mind giving it five stars. If anywhere had been available during the holiday, we would've gladly paid for another room. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

We had a rough start to the trip and needed to find somewhere else to stay. Ending up at Colonial Shores turned things around. The suite was bigger than I expected and really clean inside. The walls were a bit thin, but the noise never kept me up. It's a very short walk to the beach, and there's a pool too. The staff were lovely and kind, and even let us check in early.

The pool was clean, and the bathroom is really cute. The decorations look homemade and are adorable. It's right by the beach, the place was really clean, and Lori was polite and accommodating enough. Parking is a little crazy, though, and the maintenance could be better. The shower's broken and runs over the drain until the tub fills, and the bathroom door scrapes the floor. Water pressure and hot water were really good despite the tub filling up. Check the brand new AC for eco mode if you stay here. I made that mistake and was awake at 3am sweating. The TV is only about 30 inches, but I expected that and brought my own. I haven't seen a security system, and the bathroom window is screwed shut. Pretty standard hotel stuff. That's just my experience.
