Sawtooth and the staff were so friendly and helpful that I’d gladly come back. A heads up for families with little kids: we had a 3-year-old and a 10-month-old and stayed in a yurt with no shade nearby. During three days of 100 degree heat, we struggled with the heat and worried about heat stroke. The yurt got incredibly hot during the day, so we spent a lot of time taking shelter in the lodge and enjoying some delicious ice cream. The ice machine had stopped working, so we made several trips into Stanley for more ice. That wasn’t Sawtooth’s fault. I’d still happily stay here with my kids again, and I’m glad to give it five stars.

A distinctive, quaint lodge right in the Sawtooths. We stayed in a rustic cabin and had a wonderful time. The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious, and the nearby geothermal pools felt great after our backpacking trip.

After several days camping and eating campfire meals, the sandwiches at Sawtooth Lodge were a fresh, delicious treat. The raspberry shakes were the real standout, creamy and full of raspberry flavor, a proper indulgence after our outdoor adventures. The hot springs are just down the road, too, which makes this a great place to stop for a refresh. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re in the area.

Getting there in an RV means dealing with a rough road, but the beautiful camping spot at the end feels wonderfully remote. The place itself is gorgeous, and the staff were wonderful with us. We especially enjoyed our interactions with Jesse, the manager, Lindsey and Austin, though everyone seemed happy to go out of their way to keep things up to par and guests well cared for. We’re looking forward to coming back for the soaking tubs, hiking trails, and easy access to the river and Hot Springs. I’d try to avoid the weekend, since you’ll most likely have the place to yourself then.

After tent camping nearby, we stopped in for breakfast and milkshakes. The area is beautiful, the staff were friendly, and we enjoyed the food and shake. I’d definitely recommend the breakfast burrito, and I’d gladly come back for another meal. It’s always nice to have hot food while camping without needing to prep, cook, or clean up.
