We chose this room for a friend’s wedding because of the location, then arrived and found it genuinely charming. It was clean, well kept, and cozy, and both the owner and staff were kind and accommodating. The natural hot springs are a perfect distance away. The Sourdough diner also had delicious food, fantastic service, and a hometown feel. Highly recommend.

We stopped in for lunch and everything we ordered was delicious. The place has a cozy feel, with a wood burning stove and a gigantic TV showing sports. Someone even gave us directions to a great trailhead right at the table. It’s a beautiful hike if you’re up for some elevation change.

I thought I’d booked a room in Garden Valley and asked for a refund, but got nowhere. This property is never going to return your money! Don’t present yourself on Expedia as a Garden Valley property.

I stayed here before heading out to backpack in the Sawtooth Wilderness, then came back for another night after the hike. It was a great place to stay. I’d be happy to return if I’m in the area again.

We drove a long way to get here, and the place was just nasty. I know it’s in the middle of nowhere, but they should at least try to keep it clean. Every pillow had dog hair, and there was hair in the shower too. The area around the coffee machine was really dusty, and there were dead bugs on the bed and around the window. So gross. Wouldn’t recommend.
