I only noticed at home that I'd left my necklace behind, with my late brother's ring on it. I called the owner, and he immediately said he'd found it and told me to come pick it up. My friends and I had stayed there, and I was so grateful. There are still good people in the world. I'll always be thankful.

The room wasn't clean, and one of the beds had blood on the sheets. I even had to buy supplies to clean the bathroom, and wipe dust off the lamp bulbs. My husband pays almost $1,600 a month while working in Lufkin, yet the manager made a scene when I asked to have the sheets changed weekly. He told me to clean the room and take out the trash myself, then questioned why I used so much toilet paper. When I tried to speak with the woman at the front desk, she raised her voice and asked when I was leaving. I wouldn't recommend staying here. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

The place itself is okay if you just need a bed, but the service was awful. I had booked and paid online at a different hotel, then mistakenly went here. I told the man I was already paid up elsewhere, but he said he was checking my reservation and charged my card anyway. Once I realized the mistake, I asked for a refund almost right away and was refused. I understand a no-refund policy, but I had already explained that I'd paid for a room online.

Someone had booked this room for me, but I left after seeing how it looked and reserved another hotel instead. The carpet was old and smelled bad, and the comforters didn't feel like they had been washed. It just didn't seem clean. I won't stay here again.
