Breakfast doesn’t start until 7.30!!!! Really? That’s a good way to boost profits by leaving 3/4 of the customers without breakfast, especially the work men. The bathroom lights strobed and couldn’t be used. There was no proper blanket, just a very thin topper. The microwave was rusty and nasty.

Truck drivers, beware of the parking claims. There are two spots for 18 wheelers, but unless your trailer is 30 ft or shorter, getting around back can mean hitting a big pothole and cutting a tire, or driving straight into a soaked pasture to make the turn and getting stuck with a 500.00 tow bill. Backing out to the road is barely possible and dangerous. The tow company said they pulled a truck out last night and that it happens often here. I was stuck at the hotel for three hours before I could check in, waiting on a tow truck, then dropped my keys in the floorboard while rushing to my room with my hands full and locked them in the truck. The locksmith cost another 75.00. Check-in itself took over 30 minutes, with the clerk on the phone for 20 while everyone waited for room keys. In the morning I still have to find out whether the cut inside my tire is too deep to be safe. This trip has cost me about 600.00 here besides the room, and I may have another 5-600 for a steering tire. Drivers, don’t come here.

Despite the mixed reviews, I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were kind, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. They seem to be updating the rooms gradually, and from what I saw, they’re doing a great job improving the place. The rate was very reasonable for what you get.

My husband stayed here for a business trip on October 14 and came away with what we believe were bed bug bites. He first noticed two on the back of his head and neck, but by the next morning they’d appeared all over, with more than 20 visible on his face and head alone. From what we’ve learned, bites can take a day or so to fully show, depending on a person’s sensitivity. He thinks the room was 124 or 134, but he isn’t completely sure. An infestation like this doesn’t develop overnight. He spent much of the day trying to keep them from coming home with him: vacuuming his truck, leaving luggage outside, and cleaning everything he’d brought. We’re still very worried about bringing bed bugs into our house, which would be a nightmare and extremely expensive to treat. When he called the hotel, they apologized but offered neither compensation nor reassurance that they’d handle the issue properly. That response was disappointing for something so serious, with potential health and financial consequences. I hope they address it immediately and thoroughly. Until then, I’d strongly advise against staying here.
