La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Luling

The bed was great, the staff were great, and it was quiet and comfortable for a one-night stop on the road. It looks like a newer hotel. The shower had almost no water pressure.

The room was clean, the hotel looked nice, and breakfast was good. The woman at the front desk greeted me, answered all my questions, and was very helpful. I'll stay here again.

We had a clean second-floor room with all the amenities we needed. The hotel was clean throughout, breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly. Great location, too. I'd give it a 10/10.

The room smelled like feces, and I was charged too much for the pet fee. The hotel's online policy says $25 per night for up to 2 pets, but I was charged $50. I had specifically asked for a room by a door in case I needed to leave quickly. That door wouldn't lock, even though a sign said it stays locked 24 hours. I called the front desk, and the man was rude. He insisted the policy was right; I told him to look online and offered to show him myself. When I raised the door issue, he said, "yeah its not supposed to." I told him it was a serious safety issue, but he showed no concern. I'll file a complaint. This is by far the worst La quinta I've stayed at.
