Americas Best Value Inn Lumberton

The room itself seemed okay and not obviously dirty, but we felt unsafe enough to consider leaving. On our way to it, my child, cousin, and I passed broken glass all over the sidewalk and a room with its whole window smashed out. Once we shut our door, a woman nearby was arguing with a worker and seemed about to fight him. A man outside our room told us SWAT had broken into the room we'd just passed. My cousin wanted to switch hotels, and I wish I'd listened. I guess that's what saving money gets you. Spend a little more and find a nicer place.

Our room was clean and roomy, and Natasha at the front desk was really kind and helpful about my oxygen tank. She put us close to where I'd parked so I wouldn't have trouble getting the tank to the room.

When the power went out, they weren't willing to do much to help with the problem. It was hot as hell in the room. They should have a backup generator. I won't stay there again.

The place felt unsafe, and it wasn't clean. The furniture looked like it came from a secondhand shop, and the walls were filthy. Not somewhere I'd stay.
