I usually stay here a few times a year, checking in late and heading out early. When I left at 6:30 a.m. on 2/13/26, nobody was at the desk. Someone in the lobby said they were collecting towels, so I had to leave for work and put my key in the card holder they provide, then left it on top of the keyboard behind the safety glass. Later I noticed an extra charge of about $20 for room damage. When I came back on 2/24/26, I asked a worker what damage they meant. She said the manager would need to explain and mentioned the manager got off at 5. I thought that meant they'd be in by 9, so I shifted my schedule and arrived at 9:20 instead of 8. The manager still wasn't there. I left my number and hoped for a call so I could get this sorted out. It's convenient and reasonably priced, and I'd hate to stop coming over a $20 charge.

The bed and bathroom were clean, which I appreciated. The location feels a bit isolated, and there isn't much in the way of service. Although a full kitchen is advertised, you have to ask the front desk for basics like plates and silverware, and the dinner plates are too large for the microwave. The shower curtain setup was another hassle. Its curved rod sticks out past the straight edge of the basin, and the curtain doesn't reach the floor, so water ran onto the bathroom floor the whole time I showered.

I don't usually write reviews like this, but I stayed here from June 11th to July 11th with my cat and dog, and this became a health concern. In the last week, I found green mold under the bed on the carpet and on the bed's dust cover, plus black mold on the air conditioner. I understood it could take two weeks for mold to become visible, so I worried it had been there most of my stay. I had also been unusually congested and itchy, symptoms I associated with mold exposure. I told the front desk and asked to move rooms. They said the hotel was fully booked and couldn't move me. When I asked whether anything could be done to make up for the exposure, I was told the general manager and a maintenance worker would arrive in about an hour. Only the maintenance worker came. He said it wasn't mold and quickly cleaned it up. When I asked if the manager would speak with me, he ignored the question and kept insisting it wasn't mold. He also said my windows had been cracked open. I hadn't opened them. They could only have been opened while my pets were out of the room for cleaning. I was repeatedly accused of leaving them open, which made no sense to me. I'm a single woman in a ground-floor room, so that wouldn't feel safe, and my cat and dog were inside while I was at work in temperatures in the 90s. My cat is an escape artist, and the window screen already had a hole in it, as shown in the photos. My mother eventually got involved because I couldn't get the manager to talk with me. On the phone, she was repeatedly told that mold is only black, not green. When we wouldn't accept that, the manager became hostile and refused a refund or any compensation. I've never made a complaint like this about a business before, but the general manager was hostile toward my family and me and made me feel like my concerns were being dismissed.

The location works well if you have a car, and the room had a stove and refrigerator/freezer. It was pet friendly, too. But I was there almost six months, and the housekeeping was just a surface clean every two weeks. I dealt with dust, spiderwebs, ticks, and bugs, and spent $100 on cleaning supplies for the other 13 days between cleanings, on top of the room cost. The trash room smelled, the floors weren't mopped, and the hallway carpet was dirty and hadn't been shampooed. Some desk staff were rude, guests propped open a side door, and that felt like a safety issue. The hotel seemed to have mixed uses. Staff only seemed responsive when you didn't pay. I was overcharged, though I did get the money back. You pay for a room and don't get the routine cleaning or pest control I'd expect from other hotel brands. After I was bitten by a tick, I was done and left. They just want money. Disappointing.

The staff were all really nice and tried to help, and the place and grounds were clean, with no overflowing garbage. You can tell some people live there full time, so it was good to see things still kept up. We had room 104, a pet friendly suite with two beds. The side entrance door still worked, though the glass was broken out and covered with cardboard. Definitely an eyesore. The room seemed clean when we arrived. Our dog is picky about floors, and he settled right down, so we unloaded the car. Then, while we were cleaning things out, we spotted a baby roach crawling on the toilet. I got a video. We only saw the one, but it made us cautious about settling in and about accidentally bringing one home. We stayed three nights. Breakfast is a small setup across from the front desk, with coffee, tea, hot water, hot chocolate packets, oatmeal packets, granola bars, and muffins. It's not a hot breakfast, so you'll need to find that elsewhere. The hotel sits at an angle across from a 7-eleven, so you might have luck there.
