The Edge Hotel

Alyssa and the rest of the gang at the Edge were really kind to us. A huge storm was coming, so I wanted to cut our trip short and head home. Alyssa offered, without me asking, to give us credit toward our next stay. Then I mentioned the trailer lights weren't working and asked if we could leave the trailer there for a little while. That was no problem either. Thank you for being so kind. We'll be back!

The room was clean, and the location worked well for us during our one-night stay at The Edge Hotel. The bed, though, was extremely hard. We both woke up with sore backs, so I'd hesitate to stay again. The check-in got awkward when the computer restarted partway through our transaction and another employee came to help. Watching the two staff members interact felt condescending and uncomfortable as a guest. At checkout the front desk employee was polite, but didn't ask how the stay had been, which seemed like a missed customer service opportunity. It was an okay stay, but the room felt very overpriced for what we got.

The rooms were clean, the staff was nice, and check-in was easy. It worked for me in a pinch. Still, I spend my life in hotels and thought this was pretty pricey for a basic room with not much else. With such a beautiful exterior, I expected more. That's just my opinion, but I think it costs too much for what you get.

If you're out snowmobiling or riding an ATV/UTV, the location is handy. There's ample trailer parking, plus long-term rental parking in the side lot. A gas station is about a quarter mile away, and right next door are a bar/restaurant(boondocks), a pizza(marinos) restaurant with some of the best pizza around, and a smoke shop. The wedding/conference venue(3 willows) is behind/under the restaurants out front. The hotel has quite a few rooms, including ones with hot tubs. That could be nice after a long day riding, after a wild night at a wedding at 3 willows, or just for a night away from the house and the kids to relax.
