The pool wasn’t open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. as the sign on the door said, and the supposed continental breakfast was just cereal. Staff were rude when I asked about opening the pool or the facility’s condition. They also discriminate against people with disabilities. At check-in they gave me a hard time over my son’s service animal, pointed to the no-pets sign, and said no pets. I explained she wasn’t a pet, she was a service animal, but they made me pay a $50 deposit, which is against the ADA. They said it would take 3-5 business days to return it to my card, but it still hasn’t come back. The building had a weird smell and lots of marijuana. In our room the AC barely worked, with cobwebs and spider webs inside the unit. Black mold was visible in our bathroom and at the pool’s water fountain, which was much too close for comfort with my two children.

The owners watch your every move and are extremely nosy. They tell you that you can’t have guests, like you’re a child, and it’s very uncomfortable. They also want to charge a $100 deposit when someone books with points. I’ll report them to Choice. They need to understand they’re a franchise, not a place they run entirely on their own.

The room stayed hot, and the receptionist was rude. Breakfast was just cereal. The ceiling was falling down on us while we slept, and the door locks were busted. Never again!

The bed was comfortable, but the blankets were very thin and the pillows were small. I only got a dollop of shampoo and no conditioner. The pool was tiny and locked up, so we couldn’t swim. The so-called breakfast was the worst part, just two kinds of cereal, milk, and coffee. The place was a letdown for the price. It’s a bit run down and in an area that doesn’t look safe. We won’t stay there again.

The owners are really nice and bring me extra things I ask for, like pillows and blankets. It smells a bit like pot, but if you don’t mind that, it’s a safe place to stay.
