Hampton Inn Macomb

We’ve stayed here four times and have no complaints. It’s on the edge of town with easy access to Macalisters, Burger King, and Walmart and Starbucks across the highway. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff are welcoming and nice.

I’ve stayed twice and loved it both times. It’s the best hotel in Macomb, hands down, with friendly, helpful staff and lots of restaurants right nearby. Breakfast was the best I’ve had at a hotel without a full restaurant on site. For business travel, the fast Wi-Fi and Ethernet ports in the router in each room are great. At checkout they even gave me a breakfast to-go bag with water, a fruit cup, and a bagel. Truly excellent.

Breakfast was the only decent part of the stay. As a Hilton Honors member, I wasn’t offered the usual drink perk at check-in, though the couple ahead of me was. I was assigned a handicap-accessible room with a dirty shower. The staff didn’t seem knowledgeable and spent more time talking among themselves than helping guests. I won’t be back.

We’re always made to feel at home here. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the rooms, gym, and pool are consistently clean and inviting. Breakfast is a great way to start the day. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Macomb.
