The pool was shut down by the health department on July 7th because the property had failed to comply since March. No one mentioned when we booked that it might be closed. My family and I were at Madeira Norte from July 5 -July 14th, and the pool was essential for us because my little granddaughter doesn’t like the beach. We had to drive 30 minutes to North shore pool so my grandchildren could swim. My oldest daughter and her family left Thursday the 10th because the pool was closed, and I left a day early too. It made our yearly family vacation miserable, and we couldn’t enjoy the trip. We asked a man who works there if chemicals were the reason for the closure. He said they weren’t, which was a lie. I already knew why the pool had been shut down. I’ll attach photos of the health department’s closure order and of the man who lied to my face. The pool had 0 chlorine, no updated pool rules, and an unfinished fence. They should have told people before booking that the pool could be closed because the property had been out of compliance since March. I can guarantee I wouldn’t have chosen this place if I’d known.
