A husband and wife manage the place, and they’re super nice. I lived here for almost six years before moving away, so I’m not going to say bad things, but I’ll be honest. Whoever bought the hotel recently is supposed to do much-needed work inside and hopefully outside too. I hope that’s true, based on what I heard from someone who should know. If you need a room soon, I’d suggest a short stay. Some rooms are nice and some aren’t, so ask to see more than one before paying. I was told to expect a front room, definitely not a back one, and you should be satisfied.

The staff were very friendly, and the location was convenient for the price. The room was clean, if a little smaller than the pricier motels, and the bed wasn’t old and worn out like in some older hotels. I also appreciated that there was no two-night minimum or doubled rate because of the festival.

After complaining about the back room, they moved me to an inside room, which was cleaner and had white towels. The first room was nasty, and the towels weren’t even close to white. People in another room had their door open and were watching everything, and I had a bad feeling as soon as I parked. I ended up exchanging words with them. I guess the back rooms are cheaper, but it’s clear why. I’ve stayed at this motel twice now. If you book, use Priceline, since it’s at least $15 cheaper.

We left at 1:30 a.m. because the room had bed bugs, and they’re giving me a full refund. Earlier, they had refused a refund, so I was still at the motel. The room was clean, but the sheets were stained, and I hoped those marks weren’t leftovers from the last guest. The fridge didn’t work, only one of three lamps had a bulb, and after about two hours the A/C still hadn’t made the room comfortable. Our room was at the motel’s end, where we couldn’t even get the “free wifi.” What a waste of my hard-earned money.

The owners seemed nice, which is why I’m giving it two stars. The price was too high for what you get. Our room had unbelievable amounts of mold and dust and an old, musty smell. The place needs work everywhere, and the inside and outside both badly need paint. To me, it’s a $35-a-night hotel, nothing more.
