Courtyard Miami West/FL Turnpike

I’ll come back after my one-night stay, and I’d recommend the place. The young lightskin woman at the front desk was really nice and helpful. The owners or management seem to take care of the hotel, which feels rare these days. It’s being remodeled right now. The area felt isolated and underdeveloped, and there’s no free breakfast. But the hotel was clean, had no bugs, and felt almost luxurious. The lobby and pool were cozy, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the restaurant food was good with fair prices. The water stayed hot and had good pressure. The TV was small, though using my phone as a remote by scanning its barcode was a nice touch, and there were plenty of channels.

We only stayed one night, and I was pleasantly surprised that breakfast was included. The room was nice and comfortable, and the price was very affordable for a weekend booking. The receptionist that night was welcoming and professional. The lobby was mostly empty, but the hotel itself was beautiful. It’s in a fantastic area and has a relaxed, comfortable feel. We had a wonderful time.

I left the hotel right away after what happened this morning. Julissa, who was working at 6:30 am on October 27th, told me I didn’t have breakfast because I’d paid through another company. Her tone was rude and unprofessional. I asked her to slow down, and she answered with attitude. I’m also Marriott, so I know how deep and professional our standards are. She didn’t try to find a solution and kept arguing. After I left, she seemed to realize something had gone wrong and tried to be nice. Yesterday, someone had treated me excellently when I arrived early and gave me my room keys.

The bathroom sprayer was dirty and clogged, the water pressure was low, and there was no hot water. When I called with a question about my bill, they kept transferring me to someone else and eventually gave me a number with a recording. There was zero customer service. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
