The kids liked the water slides, and the place is very kid-friendly, but after a few rides we got bored. The water park was packed with people, even though everyone was nice. There are a few free activities, though they weren’t much fun and the kids got bored with them too. Other things to do besides the water park cost a lot. Three arcade games were over 30 dollars, the food was overpriced, and some ice cream was over 15 dollars. That question thing costs 50 dollars per person if you want to do it. We paid over 512 dollars a night for 4 people, so I don’t think it was worth the price. It was an okay vacation, but would I go again? Probably not. Our room had its problems too. The sink was dirty, and the stopper that holds the water or lets it drain came out. It was disgusting. We had to turn the shower all the way just to get warm water. The room bracelets are a smart idea, but I couldn’t take mine off to shower or sleep. It was really annoying, and cutting it was the only way to remove it. The activities were fun, but there are lots of cheaper things to do and cheaper water parks out there.

Entrance Two’s door doesn’t close and latch properly, so anyone could walk right in. That’s a serious security concern in a place full of families and kids. Please see the following video of the door failing to latch. The rooms and water park both felt dated, worn down, and dirty in spots. The whole place needs renovation and proper upkeep. Food was beyond expensive for the quality, and we paid premium prices for what felt like a declining facility that isn’t maintaining its standards or being transparent with guests. Fort Mackenzie, the main attraction and centerpiece of the water park, was completely shut down when we arrived. There was no warning, email, heads up, or compensation. We just found out the “big bucket” wasn’t happening. With that closed, the other pools and attractions were completely overcrowded, and our family ended up standing shoulder-to-shoulder in lukewarm water. The arcade is an absolute scam. We watched the claw machines drop stuffed animals again and again, even after perfect grabs, as if they magically let go at the top. It’s not subtle, just a money vacuum dressed up as “fun.” Would not return.

The water park worked for our wide age range of kids, and they all had a great time. We went in the middle of the week while most schools were still in session, so it stayed fairly quiet until around 4pm, when the next day’s guests checked in and arrived. The rooms were a good size and mostly clean, and the kids loved the themed hallways and lobby. The food was the weak point. The ice-cream shop would get one star from me, it just wasn’t good. A snack in the water park cost more than supper at Two Cities Pizza outside the resort, and that was great. Lots of the activities aren’t included and cost a lot, so they keep adding expenses everywhere and sometimes you just have to pay because you’re at the resort. We had fun, but probably wouldn’t go back. For the price, there are better vacations to be had.

Always a wonderful time here, and I’d highly recommend it for a getaway with the kids. This visit has been frustrating, though, because the upstairs neighbors have been pounding on the floors all day and all night, at 12am, 2am, 3am, 5am, 7am, and nonstop through the day. I understand that kids have different levels of social ability, but their parents need to stay on top of it. Caleb Charles, Alisha, and many other staff members have done their best to help. They’ve been polite, professional, and understanding, and excellent in their roles. I also want to give 100% recognition to the woman who scans people into the pool. I regret not getting her name. She’s been thoughtful, kind, helpful, and always smiling. She opened the pool and monitored the lines on 5/24 for opening, if someone who knows the schedule sees this.
