Lumeria Maui Educational Retreat Center

I felt so peaceful here that leaving was hard. The hammock forest became one of my favorite places to relax, and the whole property is beautifully cared for. Shane cooked amazing food and gave me great ideas for things to do nearby. Throughout the week, every staff member made me feel welcome and looked after. It’s such a beautiful, magical place.

We had a wonderful four-night honeymoon, and the fresh-cut dragon fruit in the morning was a favorite. Breakfast is light, not a big meal, but it was just right for our trip. Dinner was delicious too, with every course making us glad we tried it. The massages here are absolutely worth booking, especially with the hot rocks if you can. The room and bed stayed cool and comfortable, and the grounds were gorgeous and tranquil to walk around. It’s a short drive to Paia, and we found it easy to get around the rest of the island from here. There were lots of cats on staff. I’m taking off one star because a hard-to-reach spot behind the bed was pretty dusty when I dropped a hair tie there. Apart from that, it was a lovely room.

I came for a couple of nights to rest and reset, and was impressed by the place. The breakfast is fresh, delicious, and included. I loved all of it, from the labyrinth and hammocks to the pool, and there’s so much beauty to take in across the grounds. The rooms have a vintage look but feel newer than they are. Thanks for a great stay. I hope to come back, maybe to host a retreat. Mahalo!

Spacious rooms and staff who were the highlight of the trip made Lumeria a welcoming place to stay. The plentiful breakfast worked well for us, and the cats added to that feeling. I was in Maui to disconnect, and this was a peaceful place to settle in at night and begin the morning. The stay added to the sense of calm I felt on the trip.
