Dreamland Motel

The pool has a lovely tree-lined backdrop, though it was closed for winter. Inside, there’s a TV, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker, plus hot showers with strong pressure and excellent Wi-Fi with an easy password. The building looks worn and needs paint; the toilet seat was partly broken, and the lighting was dim. The door rattled in the wind at night, enough to make me think someone was trying to get in. It’s also too far from town to be convenient on foot.

Clean place, great rooms.

We were quoted one rate over the phone and a different one in person. The pool looked nice, but was closed. Because of COVID-19, there was no room service, so we had to go to the office for towels and toilet paper. The motel is just outside town, and the area around the room entrances was dirty and loud. On our second night, someone who sounded drunk tried to come into our room.

The renovated room had a nice wood look, with paneling, flooring, and a wood ceiling, but there was a sawdust smell. It was roomy, with two beds, a table and chairs, an armchair with an ottoman, microwave, and fridge. The AC worked. Wi-Fi was so-so, but usable, though sometimes really slow. I'd stay again.
