Getting to the village was easy, and the location suited us perfectly. We spent my 30th birthday here with a couple of friends, and the house felt both roomy and cozy. Check-in went smoothly, and we had a full kitchen, which made eating at the house convenient. The staff checked that we arrived okay and that everything met our expectations, and they were very helpful. Such a great stay. We’ll book here again when we return to Mammoth.

The staff kept us informed and were easy to reach, and they gave us helpful tips on where to go and how to get lures. We stayed for a week, and the condo fit our group well. It was a little dated, but we were there for the activities in the area. We’d contact them again for our next trip.

The booking left a sour taste: several fees were added on top of the nightly rate, and I didn’t see them clearly until after entering my card details. At Aspen Creek, though, the room was clean and nice, the kitchen had plenty stocked, and Eagle Lodge was within walking distance. Our stay itself was pleasant. There wasn’t Wi-Fi in the room, so you need your own Ethernet cable to connect a laptop. Checkout at 10 a.m. felt too early for people worn out from full days on the slopes.

I usually never complain and had never posted on a review board before, but this stay with the agency pushed me to write. The first cabin had no Wi-Fi, despite the rental contract promising it. After three hours of back and forth, they moved us to another cabin. We carried all our ski gear over and got settled late, then turned on the heater and found a horrible rotting-rat smell throughout the place. We removed the rat, cleaned and bleached, and left the windows open overnight in the freezing cold. By 7 a.m. the smell and cold were unbearable, so we packed up and went to the manager’s office. Michelle, the manager, rudely suggested we were just trying to get a free night. She sent maintenance, whose worker came back saying the smell “wasn’t that bad.” We then had to drive a rental agent up ourselves; they couldn’t stay in the unit for more than two minutes before gagging and leaving. After a whole day of this back and forth, we finally got moved to a different condo, but lost one day of prepaid ski rentals and lift tickets. Do not stay or rent with this agency. They were rude and incompetent and wouldn’t fix the problems. Save yourself the hassle and book elsewhere.

We live in Santa Barbara and have Mammoth season passes, so we come up often. The houses are clean and near the shuttle, and check-in and checkout are easy, even after hours. Carlos, the manager, is friendly and professional. We’ve had a great experience with Grand Mammoth Resorts of Grand Welcome and will keep booking with you. A lot of the units are pet friendly, too. We love you!
