I've been here several times to ski, and the ski-in, ski-out location is easily the best part. The bar is good and has a great view, though I'd go to the Yodeler for lunch. Summer is a letdown, with no useful information or help for transportation and hiking questions. Breakfast was a joke: cold, dry bacon, questionable potatoes, bread that tasted a week old, and bad coffee. The eggs were okay.

The location is excellent, and the pools and hot tub are nice. The gym is about what you'd expect. It's pet friendly, but dogs cost $50 a night plus a $250 deposit. There's also a resort fee on top of the room price, even though the pools are nice. The photos show the cleanliness issues. The rooms and hallways are dirty and outdated compared with the lobby. My room phone didn't work, so I called the front desk from my cell to ask for a different comforter because the one there was lumpy and dirty. The second one they brought, shown below, was dirty too, and the person who dropped it off was very rude.

The location is excellent, but the property badly needs a major renovation. It felt like something out of The Shining as soon as I walked in: dark, dated, musty, and neglected. The furnishings looked worn and unclean, and I wasn't comfortable sitting on them. The whole place felt unsettling instead of welcoming, and it fell far short of expectations. I wouldn't stay here again.

We ended up staying here unexpectedly and were glad we did. It's an old resort with a great atmosphere, comfortable enough rooms, and gorgeous mountain views. I only wish the bar stayed open a bit later.

The location is fantastic, right across from the gondola and discovery chair, and service was top notch throughout. We loved the ski valet in the main lobby: you can leave skis, boards, and boots whenever you come in, and they'll hold your regular shoes while you're out skiing. There's a small rental shop in the lobby too. It doesn't carry demo gear, but you can return any Mammoth rental there instead of walking back to Main Lodge. We had a two-bedroom with a loft. The place is old and shows it, especially the carpet and wallpaper, but the beds were decently comfortable, the sheets clean, and there were plenty of towels. Maid service was great, and you can request a morning, afternoon, or evening visit. It's very dog friendly, with dogs everywhere, though the charge is $50 a night plus a $200 deposit. There is underground covered parking, but spaces are very limited and tight for larger trucks or SUVs. Otherwise, you have to park outside. The west annex has a heated pool and four hot tubs, three indoors and one outside, plus a very small gym. The resort is old, but the location and service make a strong impression.
