Sierra Manors #98

We never made it there, so I can't comment on the stay itself. My husband had the flu and submitted a note from our doctor, and the road from Tahoe was closed after about ten feet of snow. It wasn't due to reopen until January 21, and today was the 15th. We're out $1300, and the company wouldn't consider giving us credit toward a different date. I'm frustrated. With the road shut, how were we supposed to get there? There was no compassion or common sense in how this was handled.

Coming back to Mammoth with my dad and little sister felt nostalgic, since we used to stay at horizons 4 for a week or two of snowboarding when I was younger. This time we spent 4-5 days in a cozy cabin/condo, and it was really well cared for. Nothing was broken, dented, or scratched, and everything worked. The kitchen had plates, silverware, pots and pans, cups, soap, trash bags, and cleaning supplies. It was a one-bedroom, with a pullout bed in the living room, so Dad took the bedroom and my sister and I slept in the living room. We were all comfortable. It was such a pleasant stay, and I couldn't have asked for a better welcome back to a place that means a lot to my family. I'd definitely recommend it.

Our rental agreement has ended, and we're moving to a new home. Greg, the grounds keeper, takes his work seriously and does a great job.

This place is really old and dirty. I wouldn't recommend it.
