Inn on Main Hotel

We had a wonderful wedding night in Room 206. The setup was easy even though we arrived back around 1am, and our room was ready before the 4pm check-in, so I had time to arrange it before the wedding. It had a fireplace, wine glasses, a wine opener, and a mini fridge, plus coffee with real milk. My new wife put it perfectly: “They understood the assignment.” We did try calling and emailing a few times without reaching anyone. Still, getting in was seamless. One small idea: another chair by the fireplace would let a couple sit there together. Thanks for making our wedding night so lovely.

My husband's father had a medical emergency and needed surgery, so my husband had to fly out to be with his family on the day we were meant to stay and afterward. I contacted the hotel within 24 hours of booking to ask about a refund or moving the reservation to a later weekend, but staff said I'd need to find someone to take the room if I wanted any accommodation. They then said it was too late, even though I'd contacted them within a day of making the reservation. I'd booked for my husband's 35th birthday on a last-minute decision that week, and I'd stayed here once years ago. On our scheduled check-in day, an email reminder prompted me to call again and explain that we couldn't make it. The response left me disappointed. Given what was happening, I wish the hotel had shown more understanding, and I'd urge people to look carefully at its policies before booking.

The contactless entry was pretty neat: we entered the last four digits of our phone number and got in. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had a cozy B&B feel. My bed was soft, though a little lumpy. There's a restaurant right below the rooms, and several nice little shops along the same road. This probably isn't the place for someone who needs a lot of maintenance.

I came up from Florida at the last minute for a funeral and wasn't sure what to expect. The staff member I met was really friendly and helpful, and they emailed me the code for Room 203. The room was clean and cozy, with a great fireplace and a comfortable bed and good pillows. I also liked the street view from the balcony. There are plenty of local shops within walking distance, and the food at Blend on Main downstairs was good. I don't know when I'll be back in this part of Jersey, but I'd stay here again if I get the chance.
