Holiday Inn Manassas - Battlefield by IHG

We ended up cutting our trip short because we couldn't face another night here. The highway noise was extremely loud, and the bed was very uncomfortable. The hotel itself felt rundown and poorly maintained. The staff were kind and friendly, but everything else was terrible. After our past stays at Holiday Inn properties, this was a huge disappointment.

I was in town for work. The staff were friendly, and the room was mostly clean, though a little dated. Breakfast was good. It wasn't included, but I think it tastes better when you pay for it. I'd stay here again if I'm in the area.

The front desk staff were really friendly. Meyer was working overnight and quickly sorted out a small issue for me with a smile, even at 5 in the morning. He also told me when things at the hotel opened, which was helpful. Most things seem to open at 6 AM, great for an early bird like me. My room had a coffee machine and refrigerator, and the bed was very comfortable. The TV looked a little outdated, but that was fine. It was a peaceful, quiet place in a convenient location. I highly recommend it.

I won't use Holiday Inn Battlefield Manassas for group events again. The unclear pricing, lack of accountability, and lack of help after the stay made the whole experience frustrating and disappointing. Future organizers should get everything in writing rather than rely on verbal agreements, since unexpected charges may be difficult to resolve afterward. For a sports event on December 13-14, I paid for 19 rooms on my credit card for coaches and referees after discussing a group rate verbally with hotel manager Vinnay Patel. No written contract was offered, and I relied on the hotel's assurances while finalizing attendance numbers. After the stay, I found that guests had been charged much higher rates. The hotel wouldn't review or adjust the charges, and corporate customer service referred the issue back to management, who declined responsibility. For comparison, I recently held a similar event at The Westin Washington Dulles Hotel. I booked only 10 rooms on my card, while more than 100 athletes and parents stayed under a clearly communicated discounted group rate. Everyone was satisfied with the process and its transparency.
