On weekdays, we could often finish a run and get straight back on the lift. Schuss has a good mix of interesting trails, and four of the five lifts meet at one peak, which makes it easy for a group to reconnect even when everyone wants different runs. The red lift goes to a separate area with shorter but still challenging wooded and glade runs. It closes earlier, though, because that section isn’t lit for night skiing.

Great place to ski in Michigan, and the prices are good. Ski-in, ski-out was really convenient. It was my first visit, and now I’m planning to come back several times every year.

I ducked inside for a short break while skiing, and came back to find my skis had been stolen. The employees didn’t help, and even with only two hours of ski time left, they wouldn’t offer any discount on rentals. The place also felt a bit nasty. Really bad experience.

We played on September 27th at about 10am, and the golf course starter treated us unbelievably badly. At first we honestly thought he was joking. We tried several times to be friendly and calm things down, but he kept talking down to us well past the point of being insulting. After the round I called to ask for the manager. They said they were busy, took my name and number, and never called back. I won’t return, and I’ll do what I can to keep others from going too.
