The Peters room had plenty of space for us and our bags, with good light and an airy feel. We could adjust the temperature easily, and there were extra blankets, a fan, and a space heater. Everything was tidy and the basics were provided, which felt like much better value than a hotel at about the same price. I say that as a hotel accountant. We were there for one night while my cat had surgery at K State, so it was a stressful, emotional time. The cozy B&B and the hosts' friendliness made things a little easier. The property is beautiful, with lots of books and a relaxing porch where we could have tea or a snack before bed. We also enjoyed the Netherlands and tulip displays, and the cute, curious, friendly chickens in their own little spot in the backyard. We'd love to come back for fun next time. Dawn and Phil are so nice, and this little B&B is worth a try.

We felt so welcome, and the owners shared their story with us, which made our 10th wedding anniversary feel especially memorable. The house was built in 1910 and has been completely renovated by the current owners. We loved it inside and out, and the fresh eggs from their chickens at breakfast were a nice bonus. A perfect find for our celebration and for anyone needing a place to stay in Manhattan.

The breakfast was very good, avocado toast with sausage and fruit. I also appreciated the private, well-lit parking behind the house and the nice walkway to it, since street parking can be difficult in this popular part of town. The Andersons were friendly and personable without being too much for me as an introvert. Their B&B has a fun, eclectic feel that makes the historic home seem modern. I had a really great stay and would recommend it if you're visiting Manhattan. I hope to come back with my family.

Phil's quiche and waffles were so good that they even gave us the recipes to make at home. The Andersons were wonderful hosts and worked with our early breakfast schedule while my daughter and I visited K-State for two nights. We stayed in the VanMaanen Suite, which is huge and has contemporary decor unlike other B&Bs. My daughter loved the separate sitting area with its day bed, and I was glad to have the large-shower bathroom. This is honestly the best place we've stayed. Afterward, I couldn't see why anyone would pick a hotel.

The breakfast was delicious, with generous portions made from local ingredients, and there are lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Dawn and Phil were kind and attentive. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and comfortable. Anderson Bed and Breakfast is a lovely place, highly recommended.
