Motel 6 Manhattan

After the football game, our group checked in and a young man greeted us. He took real pride in his work and made getting us settled into our rooms his top priority. He’s the main reason we’d recommend this motel to friends. The rooms weren’t glamorous, but they were very clean and exactly what we’d requested when booking. After a day in the sun, that shower was fabulous, sparkling white and clean, with wonderful water pressure. The next morning, the cleaning staff were busy going in and out of rooms, but each person smiled and greeted us with a sincere hello. We’ll be back!

Affordable, well located, pet friendly, and the service was good. It’ll do nicely for a couple of nights if you want a budget place in a convenient spot, or just need somewhere to spend a few hours with friends and sleep over. The beds were comfortable enough, and there’s a mini fridge with a freezer and a microwave. The pet policy seems pretty flexible, though I didn’t bring my dog. Our assigned room wasn’t clean when we arrived, but staff switched us to another one quickly and kindly. The shower got hot but had weak pressure and only bar soap. There aren’t many amenities, and cleanliness could be better, but it suited what we needed.

I checked in at 9:30pm, and the first guest attendant was nice and helpful. The first room hadn’t been cleaned at all, with dirty linens everywhere. We moved to another room, showered, and went to sleep. At 3:30, I woke up to cockroaches crawling everywhere. It was absolutely horrifying. When I asked the manager for a refund, they were downright nasty.

I was impressed as soon as I entered the lobby. It was spacious and cozy, with nice decorations and a shiny black piano. I’d hardly have guessed it was a Motel 6. I didn’t know they could be like this. The staff were friendly and helpful while still professional. My room, including the bathroom and bed, was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The water pressure was excellent, and everything worked, from the remote and TV to the air unit. I slept great and had hot, fresh coffee in the morning. I’d absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone in the area.
