Days Inn Manistee

We found a room here at the last minute for our 9/12 trip, and were glad we did. The shower was hot with great pressure, and the room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and informative. Sunday's hot breakfast was terrific, with lots to choose from. There was a little outdoor sitting area behind the building beside the indoor pool room, and I also noticed picnic tables in the grass near the tree line. We'd stay again on our next visit to the coast.

The only real drawback was the thin walls. Around 3 am I could hear water running in the room above and luggage being moved, though not much else came through. The place had just been remodeled, so there was a paint smell, but it wasn't too strong and didn't really bother me. The staff were so friendly, the breakfast was good, and the pool area was decent. We liked having a mini fridge, the WiFi worked great, the beds were super comfortable, and there were plenty of channels. It was a very nice Days Inn compared with other ones I've stayed at.

The room was clean, the price was reasonable, and the upright freezer in the room was a nice touch. Everyone on staff was sweet to our dogs. At checkout, an employee was vacuuming the hallway and was especially kind to our autistic son, who chatted away with her. She was patient and seemed in no hurry, never appearing annoyed or bothered. We'd absolutely stay again and recommend it. Thank you!

We didn't use the pool, and the game room was small. The casino shuttle picked up and dropped off at least on the night we were there. Sue, who sets up breakfast, was efficient and friendly, and great to chat with in the morning. Our room was clean and nicely updated, with a fridge. The beds were okay comfort-wise, and the front desk person was efficient and friendly.
