Magnuson Hotel Manitou Springs

The rooms are dated, but they were very clean and a good value. I liked the breakfast bar, though the coffee wasn’t great. There’s a nice indoor pool and jacuzzi too. I’d stay again when I’m in town.

The breakfast had lots of variety and was good, and the staff were nice, though we barely interacted with them. The rooms were clean and seemed well maintained, but they’re older and nothing special. It’s a little out of the way, though not too far from things. The pool and hot tub were cold, with the hot tub feeling maybe 80°. We didn’t come for those anyway.

The staff were really helpful. I like the old-school feel, and it was great having parking right outside the door. There’s also a bench by the room where you can sit and unwind.

I travel a lot for work and usually choose independent places for their character, so I’m glad I picked this little motel over a chain. It’s quiet and cozy, with spacious, spotless rooms where everything worked. The staff were warm and kind. The retro mountain style is really cute, and the location is hard to beat: just down the road from the main Manitou Springs road and its shops, with easy access to the interstate for getting around CO Springs. The drives are scenic too. I’m so happy with this choice for my work trip.
