Motel 6 Manteca, CA

The location was convenient, close to lots of fast food places. The housekeepers were helpful and very nice, and the desk clerk was kind and worked to accommodate all our needs. One of the best hotel service experiences I've had :)

The building looks like it should be condemned. Food was spilled on the walls, there was a hole in the bathroom door, and the baseboards looked like they hadn't been painted in ten years. The front doors can be kicked in, and there were no window screens. It took three rooms before we found one that would lock. Worst motel we've ever stayed at.

Coming back from a family even during our two-night stay, we found room 131 completely flooded. We don't know where the water came from, but our clothes, shoes, blankets, food, and devices were all ruined. The manager didn't think we deserved a refund because it happened on the second night. They moved my family of five from a two-bed room into one bed, so my husband and I had to sleep on the floor to let the kids have the bed. Management also wouldn't let me file a complaint on the property site about the damage. Please don't waste your money. We try to save where we can in today's economy, but we both agreed this cost us more in the long run than paying an extra $50 for a better place with much better service. I really hope corporate steps in at this location.

I paid online, but at the window they said the computer was down, canceled my room, and told me the refund had posted instantly. It hadn't, and I still haven't got my money back. I'll never go there again.
